Football-related deaths by playing football are a vastly different case. Be honest - you know this.

We also need to be thinking about football staffs - especially coaches. Imagine if Bill Snyder were still coaching Kansas St? Nick Saban is 68. Mack Brown is 67. Edsall is 61. Of course, in your mind, it would be the same if they died from being hit on the sideline, as from a disease. Beyond moronic.

Older folks are much more vulnerable. That has been and continues to be a significant risk for that cohort. Nick made a presumably informed decision and took the risk. He could have easily isolated himself ..in the booth, etc... and given the keys to younger staff for a year. He didn’t. Hope he gets well.

When Saban talked about no symptoms, feeling fine the first thing that came to mind is it was a false positive.

Glad for Coach Saban and his family. He still shouldn't be on the sidelines just due to the compressed time frame. Even if it seems certain to be a false positive. There's room for disagreement though.
