So first with DD gone, obviously leaves a huge hole at the 3/4.

PG Boatright Samuel Cassel Jr
SG Purvis Calhoun
SF Hamilton
PF Facey Lubin
C Brimah Nolan

Assuming Tolksdorf transfers, I figure we'll add one 5th year Evans/Kromah type player which would bring us to 11 scholarship players. Are we back up to having 13 allocated for us? If so, any ideas to how we fill those remaining 2?

Sorry if it's a dumb question but who is Tolksdorf and why would he transfer?

Obviously you aren't a big UConn hoops fan. But, he's a junior to be, from Germany. Excellent 3 point shooter at 6'8". His talents are more
suited to a mid major prograrm. He rarely played here except during garbage time.

Why fill the remaining two scholarships.

Calhoun used to fill all scholarships. I don't think they should be used just because they are available.

Maybe grab a 5th year transfer that can help out at the 4 but I'd have no problem saving scholarships to load up in 2015 with the recruiting momentum that it appears KO and the staff have right now.

that appears to be the plan. A 4 man recruiting class is the goal for 2015. If anyone leaves early, than that would open up additional ships for 2015. That is definitely the right move in my opinion. A 5th year transfer for this year would be great.

I think you only use for 5th year transfers. We need any available for 2015. We already have 2 commits in that class and are in the mix for a bunch more.

I don't think you bring in a 5th year grad transfer just because. There is no reason to F up team chemistry with the wrong guy. UConn was very lucky to get high quality character and glue guys in Evans and Kromah. That doesn't happen every year.

I think we definitely need an experienced 4. Is there anyone else out there? I think Facey will be good and Lubin may be as well, but neither guy has played any meaningful minutes. Were we ever linked to Horford from Mich? He's not a star or anything but he's a big body who's played in a lot of big games.

It's not luck when you have a coach like KO!
He is a great judge of character and won't pick the wrong guy!

No need to be a to the guy. Maybe he's a new fan?

I could say that calling a guy who's made 8 3's in two seasons an " excellent 3 point shooter" pretty dumb too.
