*No flopping on screens at the end of the game that go uncalled as fouls all game, right? No moving screens, right? *
I have 2 thoughts on that particular call. My first thought is that technically speaking it was a moving screen. My 2nd thought is that no referee should ever make that call at that point in the game to effectively decide the outcome of the game.No moving screens, right?
These are confirmed gamesDoes anyone know how much of our OOC schedule for next year is confirmed? Sorry if someone already posted about this.
With the Big East schedule going to 20 games (don't get me started on how dumb this is), it'll be important to make the most of our approximately 11 nonconference games.
This article from UConn WBB Weekly also has us playing @ USF to complete a home and home series. These are confirmed games
Ohio State :/ home
Tenn/home
So cal /road
Louisville:/ road
Iowa /Barclays
Assume a game at Mohegan
To get to 31 2 games would need to be at a holiday tournament
That leaves 3 games
If the nd and so car games are continued
That would leave one game
There u goThis article from UConn WBB Weekly also has us playing @ USF to complete a home and home series.
Iowa will be similar to now. They have a new Clark/Olson replacement coming in freshman Addie Deal, and developed a bunch of useful freshmen and sophs this year. They also have Stuelke back in frontcourt. Will Iowa be any good next year? Olson is a senior and I haven't heard about their recruiting.
Wow, Oldude, you had to bring this up. That argument bears no weight. If it isn't called and Aaliyah has blocked the defender's path to guard Paige, wouldn't that be potentially deciding the game? You're also assuming UConn would have scored in the next two seconds or so, a rather presumptive assumption.I have 2 thoughts on that particular call. Home and home would be awesome.I love the idea of an ongoing UConn-Iowa series.
Deke, you’re stretching here. All I am suggesting is that in such late game situations, where the call is “borderline,” the refs should swallow their whistles and let the players decide the outcome of the game. I make absolutely no assumption that UConn would have scored had the play continued.Wow, Oldude, you had to bring this up. That argument bears no weight. Aaliyah had a long history at UConn of illegal screens, including one just a minute or two earlier that wasn't called. It's on Geno and UConn that they paid the price for not coaching her to do it correctly.
