Well, then, of course there is Lou! And little Miss Danger. By the way, did anyone notice, among the general excitement yesterday, that Butler got six points, 8 boards and 2 blocks in 14 minutes? That is NOT shabby!
I was also impressed by how quickly Butler ran the length of the court to get back on defense. She is clearly in better shape and will only get better.

I am afraid, Gustav, that you are just too damned young to be taken seriously.

I will agree that Mulkey is a great recruiter, though some may say over-recruiter. But as for being a great coach. Well, I think given the same talent Doug Bruno, Jabir or Trish would have a better chance against this current Husky team. Just my opinion.

Jabir? Bruno? Seriously?

Jim Jabir has been in coaching for approx 30 years.

Doug Bruno has been in coaching for approx 40 years.

Between them, they have combined for 1 elite 8 appearance. Yes combined. Out of all those years, 1/70.

On the other hand, in 16 seasons, Kim Mulkey has 8 appearances in the elite 8, including six times in the past seven years alone. 6/7

Mulkey also has 2 national titles.

So please explain, how are Jabir or Bruno considered to be better than Kim Mulkey? I do not see how either one of those guys are within light years of her.

Neither Jabir or Bruno coaches have EVER had the quality of players Mulkey has had at any time. Yes, I acknowledge she is a great recruiter, but these guys do more with less. That in my opinion is the sign of a great coach. Also these guys teams are always fun to watch. As are Tara's teams.

good point about Natalie, yesterday. But she's not yet been consistent. And Crystal won't be giving us a presence "down low." Lou has yet to develop a hungry attitude about rebounding, but it could happen: she's a proven learner.

Let me respectably disagree with you comment about Natalie’s consistency…

Truthfully…my vote goes to Butler for making the most of her time on the court this year… Especially with her limited time and injury…

And let me add….It’s hard to get into rhythm with minimal minutes…Natalie is a rhythm player….She proved that at Georgetown.

OK i feel better now....Go Huskies!!!!!!...

Next year is shaping up, I believe, to be the most wide-open in recent memory. There are at least 10 teams that could very conceivably end up as #1 seeds in the NCAA tournament: Notre Dame, Baylor, Maryland, Louisville, Ohio State, Texas, South Carolina, UCLA, Tennessee, Stanford, and of course UConn...

Tennessee? Seriously?

Always good to know who is leaving and who is coming back. We lose Stewart, Jefferson, Tuck and Pulido... I don't think anyone loses more when you take into account what they mean to the team's success.
Did I miss the memo when Tuck said she is turning pro? I am hearing more people talking about her leaving and I haven't seen anything that came from Morgan.

How many NCs did Kim win with Britney and Odyssey? One. Yes, I know the refs screwed Baylor against Louisville. If they had won, that would still be only two with two very dominant players and a solid supporting cast. Geno would have won four if Britney played for UConn.

Actually, the refs made some unbelievably bad calls in Baylor's favor in the last quarter of that game. That is what almost let Baylor pull it out.

I feel a lot better about next year watching Ms Phessa this evening.
The game decisively turned around a few minutes after her entrance.
Talk about stealing the show...
That kid was a whirling dervish tonight.

Tennessee? Seriously?

Yes, really. I'm talking about potential. An Elite 8 team with only one significant player (Graves) graduating. The potential is clearly there.

Thanks so much, Blair. That is comforting. But besides statistics, there are observable features. I've watched ever minute that Natalie has played this year, and sometimes her hands are good, ditto her footwork and slot selection. And sometimes, she just seems clueless. I really, really like her, and root for her. She's had a tough career with all that's happened to her, and she's among my favorite players. But even if her numbers are steady, I don't think her play is.

So you don't take into consideration anything having to do with if you played against starters etc? Many player's are rhythm players until they have to face a superior team/player and the opposing defense cause the rhythm player to lose his confidence and rhythm. Then the player is no longer a rhythm player but a bench player that has lost their confidence. I have no idea what NB will be next year. But your stats not counting opponent etc is imo just so wrong to use.
