We could still be decent. Bazz and Boat can score. Calhoun might be an instant contributor. Daniels and Giffey give us some options. And it's not uncommon for good (not great) college teams to have place-holders at center.

But, then, we can't play in the NCAA tournament anyway. That's what it comes back to. And the reason we can't is completely illegitimate.

I don't have a point here, just can't believe this is where we find ourselves.

I'm with you here, Inyatkin. Also, let me add to that by saying that sometimes, teams really come together and play as a stronger unit when it is an 8-man rotation rather than a 10 or 12 man rotation. I'm not saying that it doesn't hurt to lose the talent we just lost. But sometimes, when kids get 20 to 25 minutes of floor time instead of 5 or 6 minutes, they show you things that you never would have thought possible from them. I'm imagining bigger things from Giffey, Olander, and Daniels than most people do, perhaps. We'll see, but I'm hoping for the best...

I think to be honest the lack of PT and maybe the way they were treated was a contributing factor to AO and RS. He saw him and AO, keys to the NC riding pine. Also RS saw himself as a wing scorer not a defensive clean up guy. What happened? Our team was supposedly stacked and his minutes went down. Now he was going to get his minutes, but not where he wanted, and without the tournaments he figures it's his best time and chance to the next level. Wish him well.

So Correct me if I'm wrong

G : Bazz, Brendan Allen
G : Boatshow, Omar Calhoun
F : Giffey, Calhoun
F : Olander, Daniels, Bradley?
C : Bradley?, Wolf

YIKES

Perhaps JC can make a push for Stefanie Dolson to switch teams.

Don't forget about Holy Cross transfer RJ Evans. He should see time at both guard positions and maybe some wing.

I'm not saying we'd win the tournaments we won't be allowed to play in. But it'd be nice to get a chance to compete. Some of these guys can play.

While we will probably struggle big time I think it will be fun to root for our undermanned Huskies. My only worry is that Bazz or Boat think they need to audition for the next level. If they play as a team though the sum will be greater than it's parts.

I can very well see that happening. Boatright has a chance to be a 1st round pick. and Shabazz has NBA dreams. They both have the green light and i can see then "gunning" alot next year to impress NBA scouts.

I'd guess we'll also see walk-on attempts to a level not normally seen. We've had few decent ones in the past. Maybe the team and us fans can relax if there is nothing much besides pride on the line.

The team definitely has a lot less attitude than last year. I'm looking forward to seeing Olander and Giffey play some more minutes. I think every one in the possible starting five can ball and I'm hoping for the best.

You forgot Evans here. I also doubted that Daniels could play much 4--and then I reexamined the current roster. Without any newcomers (still possible), we'll likely have to play Giffey and Daniels as "Forwards" and play a more4-out Without Roscoe (and Bradley I'll assume until we hear otherwise), I'm thinking our starting lineup will be:

PG: Napier, Jr.
SG: Calhoun, Fr.
F: Giffey, Jr.
F: Daniels, So.
C: Olander, Jr.

Boat is the first guy off the bench, and then we run 3 guards, 1 of Giffey or Daniels, and Olander/Wolf.
Evans and Wolf are the others off the bench.

Anyway...ouch. This team would need to press to make up for its lack of real size (like it did in the early 90s with the "donut teams") but it doesn't have the depth. Maybe if they get a couple of the bigs who seem to be interested in other teams....

Any chance the complete decimation of our team affects the Carrier Classic?

that's right...

man, we are tissue paper thin up front.
