If Tuck is healthy, we are going to be very tough next year. Morgan can take a bunch of Stef's minutes and Stokes' role should expand.

Stokes is a defensive force and a great rebounder. Almost a luxury this year, Stokes has the tools to be a starting center on a championship team.

A frontcourt of Stewie, Stokes, KML (she can be a physical presence down low) and Tuck is enough to keep opposing coaches up at night. We gonna be just fine!! The backcourt is in Mo's hands and we are in good stead with BB, Chong and the recruits.

Now, if Tuck isn't healthy, it gets a little thin, although I think Stokes is enough of an anchor in the middle that we will have enough.

For the following year, we really need bigs. We saw what happened to ND when Achonwa went down. The way the game is played now, winning without a legit 5/post isn't gonna be easy. I'm not sure Stewie and Tuck are enough (although with Mo and the right wings they may be). We HAVE to recruit 2 bigs next year and one of them probably has to be ready to play from day 1.

All well and good - but how about pausing and thinking about how great this run was before we look at next year? The plane has barely landed and we haven't even had the parade yet. Lots of time for maybes....

With a diverse set of guards and guards, adding the maturity of Ms Nurse, CD spending time with Ms Stokes, Bria being Bria ... Ms Lewis after her banner year, and the coming of my friend, you can look to 4 in a row, Now ask Tony C to add the streak up ...... The X factor is Ms Morgan, it's a very difficult injury to overcome, but lets face it the conditioning room and staff pays off as witnessed by the PDQ recoveries this past year..... Thanks be to the real hero's that kept this brilliant bunch healthy!!!

Look, if you don't like the post, you can always ignore it. Why go off?

We did stay healthy this year which is huge. I'm praying for Tuck, she's got so much heart and when she's right she's amazing.

I gave my opinion that it is a little early to already jump to next year. If you think that is going off, you certainly are new to the Boneyard. I am a mild little voice in comparison to what happens sometimes around here....a simple request for appreciation of the current team and you are offended? LOL!

Because there is time for both?

I've been relishing Tuesday's NC victory and the team's great Championship run at the rate of about 25 hrs/day out of a possible 24, and part of relishing it so much entails the realization that Stef and Bria have played their last game for UCONN. So in that 25th hour I have also been idly musing about next year, just like the OP. Then there are the myriad threads and posts on Ms. Wilson's upcoming commitment that will continue until (and after) the 16th. They, too, are looking ahead as we speak to next year by definition AND what's more, she's not even on the squad.

It's possible to pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time. At least that's what they told me in kindergarten.

I agree that Morgan is going to be a key cog in next year's machine. I might be saying daily prayers for her knee next fall...Her in/out flexibility is going to be very important. If her health were to be an issue again, it would have a much bigger impact than it did this year.

And youre right that whoever we get in 2015 for the center spot is likely to be thrown into the deep end right away, a la Stef. I hope we find a good one. I need to read up more on K. Brown. I remember some threads where she was mentioned but have forgotten the details.

I posted some of the same thoughts yesterday in a thread entitled "Threepeat?"....got some similar responses. Of course it's not too early to be opining about next season...some folks just feel that they are, or ought to be, self-appointed arbiters about what is and what isn't appropriate to post here.

But the nice thing for whoever the incoming center is, Stewie will be a senior ready to help the next great star get her feet wet. Just as Kelly, Caroline, Heather, Stef, and Bria showed Her the UConn way.
