Deflated team, mentally and physically drained, officially nothing left to play for, Bazz likely gimpy (if playing at all), Boat's confidence probably low (he's an emotional guy, and won't enjoy that game film).

Getting these guys up for another battle is going to be hard. Yeah, they're kids and they are on scholarship, etc. But they are human.

Key player next game: RJ Evans. His clock is almost up and the team will need an emotional lift. He's got to bring it.

Well I do hope this loss hurts for them and it should if it doesnt your not human, by tomorrow they need to move on and learn from their mistakes us it as a teachable moment.

They won't be deflated. It hasn't been their history not to play hard.

You know the Cincy game on Saturday makes me nervous. I just read the Jacobs story from this game and he had a quote from Daniels in it. Daniels said "my body is banged up, ive never really felt like this. My back, my knees, my shoulder. Everything is killing me right now." This team just gave everything they had and more. Its going to be hard going to Cincy and getting up for that one.

It's been a long time since I've been 21, but, short of having an actual injury (like Bazzs' ankle), I was physically ready to go the next day after each game. Granted, I played college football, not BB, but at that age, their ability to compete with aches and pains is incredible; especially as competitive as these guys are.
I worry more about their mental preparedness after such a tough loss. I guess we'll find something out about KO Saturday and I suspect we'll like what we see.

I'm thinking they come thru in a big way!!

But as my wife says I'm never right!

very good post, couldn't agree more...Ollie (and coaches) and a solid effort from the bench is going to be huge to get up for this early start on the road.

I was thinking the same thing as I was tossing and turning and unable to sleep last night.

I think us fans also have to realize that this next game is just as difficult as last night's (Cincy is reeling and they need this win pretty badly; it's on the road).

This team was overmatched once this year. That is what is truly amazing.

Are to talking about the Louisville game?
If so I'm thinking we played them really good for the first half!
Yes I know it's a 40 minute game!

Yeah- Lousiville. Uconn was up by 10 or so in the first half, and kept it close for a bit in the 2nd, so it certainly wasn't a blowout throughout.

But it was the only game that Uconn never really had a chance from about the 10 minute mark. I think they were down by almost 20 with 3-4 minutes left.

I never got the feeling at any point last night that they couldn't come back.

After this year our players will probably not have to concern themselves with this. Last night was a typical BE game, with both sides doling out punishment. At least Giff got the best shot of the night. This is the very reason why I am bummed at the decline and termination of the BE as we know it. Play hard, play physical and expect to get banged up. Hell if you are not hurting or exhausted after a BE game then you didn't play hard.

You can't be a punkish team, and expect to survive in BE. So sad its gone.

Agreed that next game will be a tough test for Ollie.

The kids have been playing their hearts out all year. At first, for Ollie's contract. Once he got the contract, the team realized "hey, we're pretty good, lets make a run at this thing."
Now, the BE title is out of reach and the team has really NO big games for the remainder of the year.
They just survived a rough, physical, mentally and emotionally draining game against G-town and their Princeton offense.

With nothing to play for, we gotta travel to Cinci for a tough away game on an early Sat afternoon. Shabazz is in a boot, Deandre had ice packs all over him post-game, Calhoun's wrist is still bugging him, and we still have no frontcourt presence.

Wouldn't surprise me if the team put up a stinker on Sat and actually lose pretty badly.

But this team has surprised me time and time again with their heart and determination. Hope they can prove me wrong, yet again.
