The reason teams are keying on Spencer is he’s a bit easier to stop than Newton. He’s less athletic and drives a lot less than Newton and he doesn’t have the speed to blow by a quicker defender. If you can take away his 3 point looks you can limit his damage. Newton (and Castle) can create their own offense no matter who is guarding them. You can just go back and watch the Kansas game.
