Defense failed miserably in second half, and really it failed miserably after they got a 14 point lead.

the majority of those points did not come from mistakes however and the majority of those points did not come from the player who Rodney was guarding. easy narrative to find the scapegoat.

Combine the anchor of the defense getting into foul trouble with the fatigue of a short bench.....this is the result. Defense either isn't as tight or picks up cheap fouls. Jumpers start falling short with tired legs.

We could have won this but the reasons we lost aren't a mystery.

That is all about what happened down low. They got killed down low.

Bingo.

2 of his fouls were the weakest fouls I've ever seen called, but you cannot have your star defensive player collect 5 fouls in 7 minutes. The one he picked up 20 get from the basket was infuriating.

Our defense thrives when he's on the court. 7 minutes isn't going to cut it...
