It was this Saturday last year, around 10 or 11am or so that I recall the SyraPitt agreeing to join the ACC talk came out in full force across the media. UConn had played Friday v. ISU (coincidentally, Joe D had the BE media guy on pre game, chirping about the BE turning down ESPN's offer' and thanking the Prez of Pitt and others for their support in the negtoiations, talking about the open market and the value of WVU, TCU, SyraPitt, and the rest of the BE would command); Marinate was down at Byrd Stadium for UMd v. WVU, and supposedly blind sided by the news; Jurich had a stunned, pissed off, WTF look on his face during a sideline interview at UL's game; and WVU's invitation to the SEC was going to happen on Tuesday.
So, will history repeat today? Will one of UConn, RU, or UL have some news? Will a disgruntled ACC school come out w/ an interesting quote or announcement? Or, was the ND news from earlier this week that bombshell?
Like sands through the hour glass, these are the days of college football.
