So much for this being an easy game for the Storm. 10 point 1st quarter lead was down to 3 at halftime, now tied midway thru Q3. They could wrap up #1 seed with a win tonight and then not have to sweat it on Sunday. But Atlanta has their hands full w/ Phoenix so Seattle might clinch regardless. NY has showed some grit the last game and a half apparently. Charles is playing tonight.

Seattle pulls it out 85-77. 22 pts./15 rebs for Stewie, 13 pts./6 assists for Bird and 21 points for Charles. Storm clinches #1 seed.

The thought of resting players on Sunday may not be on Coach Hughes' mind. Note in the paper today, because of the long layoff til their first playoff game he may opt to use a fairly regular rotation on Sunday to try to keep the rust off his players. Doesn't matter anyway because Dallas has already clinched #8 seed.

Sue and Stewie broke the backs of a surprisingly competitive Liberty team going 8-10 from 3pt land. They are always taking reasonably open shots in rhythm.
