UCONN will look great with some new freaky UNIFORM.

Though I will admit Boise's blue turf has treated them well.

Logic would say students and parents would approach a decision like this rationally, based on the school, the program, and a variety of other factors.

Reality says... you are right. You can definitely drum up positive buzz by having slick unis. (You can drum up negative buzz a la Maryland, but, it's buzz nonetheless!)
