New Season - Wipe the Slate Clean

We lost to Towson. Big whoop. Everyone knows the story with App State and James Madison with Michigan and VaTech. Does Kansas State think their season is over? Oregon State? Things haven't been good the last two years, I get it.

But you know what, beat Maryland and Michigan the next two weeks and week one won't matter one iota. Wipe the slate clean. I saw some promising things during the Towson game. The chemistry with Whitmer, Davis and Philips. The hard running by McCombs who looks rejuvenated.

Friend will be back and should, SHOULD improve line play.

Coach P will undoubtedly be gone come season end, its all but written in stone. But support the players.

Here's to turning things around Sat! I'm looking past what happened 16 days ago and so should everyone else as the opportunity to put UCONN football back on the map is here the next two weeks in our own backyard. Let's go Huskies!!!!!!

It's hard to digest a post that dismisses the Towson loss and trumpets a big turnaround in one breath and then states that P will undoubtedly be gone come season end.

Well, I've chosen to look at the season like this. These kids are going to either surprise us with an impressive out of the blue season, or were getting a new coach. Win, win in my book.

I agree with your opening statement in that I'm looking at the Towson game as we lost our one pre season game. I know this team is better than it showed two thursdays ago. I know it, and more importantly I believe the kids know it as well. What we need is some positive momentum offensively to start the game. This entire tenure under this regime has consisted of far too many three and outs under the guise, of "staying ahead of the chains". Why not incorporate more of what we saw in the two minute offense sprinkled in throughout the game? Just saying.

That is what I am having a tough time with. Lloyd Carr, Frank Beamer, and Bill Snyder each have given their respective fan bases reasons (based on past performance, not rhetoric) to think those losses were tiny hiccups. Teams guided under the watchful eye of "Coach" Pasqualoni indicate we are experiencing the onset of a full on seizure.
