Well we've had injuries, we have players playing new roles we have Royale's and we have adjustments and another level to reach in the next season to be ready for the following season which is the NCAAs. Phessa is learning to play away from the basket because we now have Z who is very very talented with alot of upside but she is a work in process as she learns the UConn system, and learns to play around the basket and soon Camara will be ready to step in who will see minutes in the second half of the season and she too will need to learn the UConn system and become part of the team chemistry and part of the team flow. As good has CD has been shes still learning. She runs the team and has done a better then expected job but shes still learning. Lou has been out, Gabby is now learning to play away from the basket which is an adjustment for her. With all the adjustments UConn has played a very difficult schedule thus far and we are undefeated. At times we look like a beast and there are times we dont. IMO thats because of a bunch of reasons. Learning new positions, injuries, health issues, and rebuilding our team chemistry because of the new additions to the team and new positions we have players playing . Sometimes we rely to much on treys which we are really good at. We force things because it comes to easy. We have been playing at a very high competitive level and traveling way to much and we're worn down a little bit. During the conference season I expect us to work hard on the new adjustments weve made this season. I expect the underclassman to see more minutes and see who rises to the top. Those who can play within the UConn system and team chemistry and team flow will see meaningful minutes. Their development is essential for the rest of the season and next season too. With Kia and Gabby graduating this is a big season to get our underclassman going because we have a of thoroughbreds coming in next season and that will be another learning and development season. The season following I expect even more talent. Geno is attracting AAU and HS players. They want to be part of UConn History. This is a big year for the development of our current roster. All these additions and changes have slowed down the development of team chemistry and until everybody is on up to speed only those who have adapted to it will play and thats why in big games only 6-8 players see action because they can maintain the team chemistry and flow. For the next few weeks up to the @ Texas game we will see where we are and then comes @ South Carolina and then LVille before the post season . We as fans need to be patient and not expect to much. We will see signs of greatness and our expectations will rise and then on the very next play or very next game they will drop. Its a roller-coaster ride but in the end because we have the right coaches at the helm we will win another National Championship.
