It will only be for a year, but tonight should mark the start of some good UConn-Lou games (they'll play 2x next season).

Louisville returns everyone except Monique Reid, so they should be very good next year. They also return starters Tia Gibbs and Asia Taylor from injury, and they add a top 40 frosh (Emmonie Henderson).

I forgot about the return of the injured players. Even tho they don't add a ton of top talent from the 2013 recruiting class (really wish they landed Russell), they should for sure be in the top 10. Reid is not a starter for them at this point. I bet Vails comes off the bench in favor of one of the players you mentioned (are they post players?)...

I think they'll have a 13-player roster next year so there wasnt a lot of room for more. (Though Russell might have made them top 3 next season.)

Plus they return 7 of their top 8, and if the two injured come back, you're looking at 9 who can give good minutes.
Gibbs is a G and Taylor a F.

And remember that this rivalry has ancient roots. The last time UConn was knocked out of the tourney in the first round was 20 years ago at Gampel, and the villian was Louisville. Not sure if "Remember '93" is a powerful rallying cry anymore, but if Geno needs any extra bulletin board material ......
