Alex had mentioned multiple times (in past and this episode) that he is so locked in during the game that he only hears his coaches and teammates. He said he didn't notice the UConn chants during the 30-0 run...... and they were loud. I wonder if that is the case for all players on the court. If so, then how really important is the crowd noise factor to the players during gameplay ?

This doesn't surprise me. External noise even including what media says or prints has no bearing on our team. Although a home crowd is considered to be a good thing. Hurley knows how to keep them focused.
