New Locker Room in Hartford

I think the criticism of the former Hartford Civic Center is a bit overblown. It’s a good venue for College Hoops. Easier to get to than Storrs and it does hold 15,500+ fans versus GPs 10,299

And the seating is about 100x more comfortable. More leg and hip room. Cushioned for your buttocks. The bleacher bench style seating at Gampel was designed by a very nasty evil person who was 4'10" and 103 lbs.

No, 4' 9" and 102 pounds. Certainly not built for comfort for anyone over 6'. But can't complain too much because winning there helps to remove all of the back and leg aches!

The only complaint I have for the PBA is the scoreboard. When Nika was here I always watched her assists, with Paige it was assists and points. The player game information is on the corners of the square scoreboard, so to get the full line of the player you have to look at both ends{corners) of the scoreboard to see the total line. Really annoying. To me, I never saw anything wrong with the arena itself, knowing that most of the refurb was done behind the scenes, mostly in the locker rooms and fitness areas. No matter, can't wait to get in there, getting a pulled pork and mash bowl from the "Bears" wannabe concession, a cold $15 beer, and nestling into my seat for another great UConn performance.

OK, I forgot about the scoreboard. PBA has the worst scoreboard in America. Nearly every high school gym has a better scoreboard. I don't know how they expect to support of professional team like the Sun with such a ridiculous embarrassment.
