New Grad Assistant: McKenna Hofschild

I was looking at the staff roster and saw a familiar name: McKenna Hofschild. We discussed her on the board over the last year or two. She started at Seton hall, but played behind Lauren Park-Lane. She then moved on to Colorado State, where she was All-Conference, the Conference POY, a Lieberman top-10, and HM All-American. She averaged over 20 ppg her last 2 seasons and was one of the national leaders in assists. She was a ton of fun to watch and was probably the best 5'2" player in the nation. She should be a good addition in Storrs.

She averaged 22 points per game last year. Other than Paige, I am not sure who on the team beats her in a 1-on-1. Should be a great resource for KK, Shade, and Chen in particular.

They might have known each other, they played high school basketball at the same time and only lived about 15 miles apart. I could only find one game where they played against each other, it was Dec 30, 2016. Hopkins had a 68-50 win with Paige leading all scorer's with 30 points and McKenna scoring 14 points in their loss. Paige also had 7 steals in the game and had 1 more steal than the whole Prior Lake team. Hopkins did play Prior Lake on 12/29/2015 with Hopkins winning 73-40. Paige scored 11 points while McKenna DNP. Welcome aboard McKenna, hope you have a great time and learn from the best as a Grad Assistant.
