In final 4 semis Williams lost to undefeated DePauw...59-56.
Amherst lost to Wisconsin White Water...a brutal finish. Up 12 with 3 minutes
to go. They lead by 3 with 6 secs left....miss the front end of a one and one....and a WWW kid hits a three at the buzzer to tie. The same kid hits a 2 at the OT buzzer to win 66-64.
Amherst has been to 5 consecutive final fours.
So have we [and so has Stanford]. Has anyone gone to0 6 in a row? A bit odd that Stanford
has never won the ring in those 5....it must be 20 years or so since their last championship.
Today the Amherst, Williams and Middlebury guys play in the sweet 16.
