Was Ambrose trying to run the score up last night? He threw into the end zone late and it bounced off the recievers hands onto ground harmlessly. Mack was in the vicinity. Woulda been nice if it burned him in the ass.

The thought crossed my mind last night too but I was too lethargic and in shock to care. Honestly, at that point I was in the comical disbelief state.

Ambrose is a tool...I work in the firehouse with a guy who played at Towson right after Ambrose, the football alumni hate him.

Yeah personality wise, he reminds me of Edsall. Dude had his team prepared last night though, while our stooge looked like he had no idea WTF to do. Sad.

Ambrose has taken a program that has no business succeeding in the Colonial and has quickly grown it and beaten our butts. if he is a tool, than we need a tool as our head coach very quickly.

Throwing down there was one of the dumbest things you could possibly do. He could've run out the clock. If we make the stop and miraculously march and tie the game it's an all time blunder.

I saw a post on the board last night that cracked me up. It was like..."See what Ambrose could do when he didn't have Edsall holding him back" He ran the frickin ball 50 times for crying out loud....that's different how?

Yeah. but it sends the message to the team. Swagger.

The odds of them losing there was very small.

I agree with you on him growing his program in the CAA...BUT he also has a large amount of former high level BCS team transfers on that roster ( the rb who torched us last night for 256 yds and 2 td's transferred from Clemson). Kids that can transfer in and play right away. That usn't happening here. Sorry BL but if Manuel hired Ambrose as P's replacement we should close up shop. If we want to be big time we need to think big time..that isn't Rob Ambrose.

Yes, I know the perfect tool for the job, we need Saban... maybe Burton can lure him with some cash...

There are multiple reports that Ambrose is an who comes very close to crossing the line with his players.

He does win, though.

Sad that we are even asking about a FCS team running up the score on us. I feel like I should be more upset this morning about the game but thats what three years of PP will do to you. Makes you apathetic.

He is referred to as "The D_I_*_K". Last night's win doesn't change that.

Nick Saban & Bill Belichick are two miserable people as well. We have a nice guy as a coach.

Yup they sure are...and if Rob Ambrose ever reaches the success they both have it will be a good comparison..until then he is the coach of a FCS school in MD where is also played..and his only feather in his cap so far is he gave us a supreme A_S_S KICKING last night.

Not just that -- their kicker had already missed two extra points, they could not run the clock out and it was a one possession game. You can argue if it was the "right" play calling, but it was far from stupid. As evidenced by the fact that it worked.

That's not at all true. He took a doormat, with less resources than its conference competitors, and has very quickly turned it into a force to be reckoned with. Denying his accomplishments there is just silly. Is he a ? I don't know. If he is and it doesn't stop him from winning, I'm not sure why I care.
Ok...you must be looking to argue with me today about Ambrose..so you are telling me that Rob Ambrose should be mentioned in the EXACT same breath as Belichick and Saban? You are out if your mind! I didn't deny his accomplishments..I said he hasn't won anything like they have yet! So you mean to tell me Rob Ambrose is the answer to what is wrong with UCONN football?

There was 22 seconds left on the 4th down play. If they didn't stop the clock with the incomplete pass, they run out the clock. They don't have to kick anything. The game is over.

Exactly. There were 22 seconds left when it happened and we had exhausted all time outs. He got away with it so props to him, but he was trying to run up the score plain and simple. D I C K, but we deserved it.

I tell you, last night felt like a deja vu experience of a under-the-radar Edsall team kicking the crap out of a "more talented" Pitt team.

I never minded running the ball 50 times if the end result was a W. In fact, I kinda like watching defense like South Carolina knowing they can't stop Dixon in the 4th quarter.

No, I didn't say that. Of course Ambrose should not be compared with those coaches. I just don't care that you are hearing that he's a dick. He has done a tremendous job in his situation.

The point is you came in here looking to crap on a guy who just handed us our ass because you heard some guy say he's a dikc. It was a stupid, irrelevant point to make.
