If you're into fantasy/GOT type books anything by Brandon Sanderson. Just finished the first Mistborn book and it was tremendous

For fantasy or sci-fi, the name of the wind by Patrick rothfess, red rising series by Pierce Brown, mistborn by Brian Sanderson, ready player one, James Dashner's mortality doctrine series, robin hobbs assassin's apprentice.

Added fKay Kenyan’s The Entire and the Rose, Lev Grossman’s the Magicians (also on TV now).

His next series, the Stormlight Archive series is great too but taking a long time, I think book 4 is coming out soon.

IMO the stormlight archive puts mistborn to shame--mistborn always felt kind of juvenile to me. SA is as good as epic fantasy has gotten in years. It's an investment--books are 1000+ pages, but worth it.

Prefer fiction.

Just finished Grishams latest The Guardian. Read it in 3 days. Wished I didn't read the Follet trilogy, because would love to have it now.

Got a lot of time (and I'm sure many of you all too). Tired of computer gaming, computer work, etc.. Looking for books to sit for hours and escape.

I'm willing to read classic old novels.
Read Lonesome Dove finally and now reading the Streets of Laredo sequel

Michael Connelly Harry Bosch series. There are over 20 novels. Some feature Mickey Haller i.e. "The Lincoln Lawyer." There is a solid series on Amazon. Second the Jordan novels. The Martin Cruzz Smith Arkady Remko novels are excellent. Asimov's Foundation and Empire trilogy are classics. Try Michael J, Sullivan's Riyara Revelations. I will come up with some non-fiction recommendations tomorrow.

Non-fiction - but if you haven't read Tuff Juice I'd recommend it.

I’ve recommended this before but the Master and Commander series by Patrick O’Brian is a favorite of mine. It is excellent.

For the genre you like you can’t go wrong with Tom Clancy. Start with The Hunt for Red October.

For basketball fans, I read these two last summer:

Tough Juice - Book about our Uconn guy Caron Butler's life

Don't Put Me In Couch - By Mark Titus who rode the bench for Ohio State during the Greg Oden days. Somewhat crude, but funny take on life in a big time program.
