How much would a Nebraska upset impact OSU seeding in the big dance?

While I think Maryland can make a deep run in the tournament I wouldn't be surprised to see the Big Ten flop as a conference in the big dance.

Major sense of urgency for Nebraska to keep alive their hopes for at-large bid.

Ohio State has won 5 in a row, a streak that started with an overtime win at Nebraska.

As my fine colleague above has stated, tOSU is on a roll and is asserting their bona fides for the NCAAT. To me, it's WNIT time for the Huskies HUSKERS! Heck do what both Arizona and NW did last year, make it to the final and use is as a stepping stone for 2020-21

As a fan of Amy Williams and the Cornhuskers I hope you're right. I thought Nebraska was out of the big dance due to their inconsistency over the last month. I do agree an upset over OSU might give the selection committee reason to give another look at the Huskers.

The bubble is extremely fluid, shall we say. Any of a couple dozen teams could easily play their way into the tournament with a good run in the next 2-3 weeks. Nebraska has some good wins, most notably over Iowa, but their RPI is being dragged down by a poor nonconference SOS. The only remedy for that is to win some games.

On the other hand, as @DefenseBB points out, sometimes the WNIT can be a blessing in disguise for a team that's on the bubble, and with the way Husker fans tend to support their team, they could have all the ingredients of a deep WNIT run with plenty of home games, much like what Arizona did last year.

Ohio State was up 33-20 at halftime. Nebraska only shooting around 30%, and more importantly, 0-14 from 3.

Nebraska making a bit of a run, now 56-45 in mid-4Q.
