NCAA - Week 5 Non-UConn Games.

Orlovsky doing the Northwestern-Wisconsin game. Such a great football mind. Wish he would come back home.

I have inside sources confirming almost the entire team hate playing for their coach. The players were recruited by another guy and this young hothead came in and made a bad situation even worse. It’s a complete mess. 4 other starters have quit the team.

TCU 51 Kansas 14
Syracuse 41 Holy Cross 3
Vanderbilt 24 Northern Illinois 18
Toledo 28 BYU 21

Are Utah and Wazzu really playing at noon eastern today? DId I miss a memo? Are they attempting to penetrate the east coast market? I watch a lot more PAC at 10:30 at night than I ever will at 1 in the afternoon.

Whoever loses that game will be in trouble, with 2 conference losses already. Both figured to challenge for their division.

Pac 12 really cannibalizing itself already. Cal over Washington, USC over Utah, Colorado over Arizona St., Arizona St. over Cal. Whenever someones starts to look to be in a decent position, they get knocked off.

Could be, but more importantly are any of the best umess players (1) not part of the problem and (2) prospective quality transfers? Regardless, any means to an additional UConn victory this season counts. Just to be selfish ...

Watching ND vs UVA and thinking, we beat these schools in the past. Then I'll be watching us play later. Oy.

SMU up 34-0 on USF w/ 6:30 till half
Alabama up on Ole Miss 38-10 heading to half

I’m glad Duke was running up the score. For generations, the top 25 has been beating them 77-3. Revenge is sweet.

BTW, I hate Duke.

Temple up 24-2 on GT heading to the 4th.

Clemson and UNC tied @ 14 12 minutes left in 4th.

Given that SMU appears to be pretty good, and given that the remainder of their schedule is -- Tulsa, Temple, @Houston, @Memphis, ECU, @Navy, Tulane -- what chance do we given them to go undefeated through the regular season? Anybody willing to give them more than a 10% shot?

This might be the worst prime-time block in the history of CFB:

ABC: Ohio St 24 Nebraska 0
ESPN: Auburn 35 Miss St 9
E2: UCF 42 UConn 0

SEC: SoCar 10 Ky 0
ESPNU: Wyom 13 UNLV 10
CBSSN: UtahSt 7 ColSt 7

We’re not the only ones who have de-valued football. Nebraska took the money and the ability to rub elbows with better academic institutions by joining the Big 10. But their football program is a dumpster fire.

Down 38-0 to Ohio State at halftime in Lincoln.
