DI Council adjusts transfer rules

Incoming college athletes who have enrolled in summer school and received athletics financial aid can transfer and play immediately without a waiver if their head coach departs before the first day of classes for the fall term.

It applies to pretty much none of them.

Incoming = freshman

So if for example, August comes and Dan Hurley left, Gaffney/Bouknight could transfer anywhere with instant eligibility.

Oh I know. Just felt like a good spot to bring up the absurdity that has become transfers. The sit 1 rule hasn’t really deterred kids.
