ACC membership would have tremendously improved our ability to recruit, and in no time we'd have likely turned a corner toward a swift upward trajectory. Couple that with all the financial advantages of getting a stranglehold on the northeastern US market and freezing out the Big 10, including a presence in the NYC metro market. There also would have been the obvious benefit of making BS College play us again as a conference opponent, the local interest that rivalry would have generated, the superior academics, and shared vision with many of the ACC schools. They should have had the balls to tell BS College, Clemson and Florida State to pound sand. As time has proven, Clemson and Florida State weren't going anywhere anytime soon. [/QUOTE]
