NCAA March Madness is doing a team of the decade bracket challenge. They have fans vote on the best team assembled in the past decade, using players from the past/current to make up the starting five. They have the good guys as a ONE seed with Kentucky, Nova, and Duke. Pretty awesome!

As far as NCAA champions go, that 2011 team was not out of the blue like some of them. They were a top 10 team. The 4th most popular pick to win it all.

Unless you're referring to the BET, which I don't count since they were firmly in the tourney prior to that (obviously, 11 BE teams got in).
