I kind of like the option that CBS offers in the men's Final Four, where they broadcast the game on three different stations, and you could pick to listen to the Kentucky homers, or the Wisconsin homers or the "straight" broadcast. I really enjoyed listening to the Wisconsin broadcast, throughout.

Last night, watching the Women play, I think I got stuck on the ESPN Maryland homer broadcast site. Does anyone know where the UConn homer site will be for the final. I don't want to get stuck listening to the broadcasters gush all over ND for the whole game on Tuesday......

The worst was when Geno complained about Terps "throwing themselves" into players down low. They show the replay and there was Stokes standing straight while the little guard drops her shoulder and, yes, throws herself into her. Doris says that was absolutely a foul on Stokes. Total BS.

In the first half they interviewed Frese and she said something like "We need to cut down on the turnovers and it would be nice if the fouls were called evenly". Doris agreed with her as the next 2 foul calls went against UCONN and Doris was like "see?"

I must admit, I cannot understand the rule that determines when a player launching themselves into another player is actually being fouled. They always say its about beating a player to a spot, but it always seems to involve launching into a back-peddling player which would seem to indicate that they are already in the spot and even attempting to vacate it.

And THAT is why you aren't a sports broadcaster.

No fan understands implementation of this rule, and I doubt coaches do, either (as they seem to complain about the calls as much or more than the fans do).

But the Refs are 100% certain that they have made the correct call.....as are, apparently, the broadcasters.

So, OneTrick....you and I are best left to our day jobs.....

I presume you're being sarcastic here?

I actually thought the broadcast of our game last night was a "homer broadcast" for Maryland. . I normally like Doris but she was definitly noton her game last night. In addition, they didn't pay attention to the game with all of their rambeling discussion. They forgot to tell us who fouls were on consistently.
