I'll be very curious to see how Drummond develops. He has all the physical gifts and tools - but his offense needs work and polish... but I think his defense will be ahead of his offense for a while. He's going to be an animal on defense...

O'Quinn/Nicholson have looked much worse than their previous game. Partially the defense by Pistons/Drummond.

Edit: As I say that O'Quinn hits two shots.

Drummond looked passive on offense in the half that I watched. he more or less ran to a block and stood there, set few screens, didn't move without the ball with much purpose...The announcers even pointed out how he was reinforcing the questions about his "motor". He missed a dunk attempt and then threw one down later with much more authority.

It was only a half of a summer league game but you could see where his inexperience relative to the competition hurt him. as I was watching, I read a tweet that stated how difficult it was to get excited about next years draft, even the top 10, where there were so few elite prospects and it made me wonder if Andre wouldn't regret his choice a year from now.

Is it really his motor? or his desire and intensity? The guy has ridiculous athleticism. I can't imagine that he's incapable of motoring around the court if he wants to. I have to imagine that someone will sit him down and show him what he does wrong on tapes. It's not rocket science... especially if it's about effort and desire...

The guy always had the I look lost out there. You are not supposed to teach basketball basics in the NBA. The guys skill set is limited. Detroit is gonna get a taste of darko part two.

Disagree. He has too many unteachable qualities to NOT make it. For what he's being paid, someone will make sure he gets up to speed. The bigger question is whether that's what is in his heart. It was hard to tell from 1 year, but he seemed like a good kid trying to please a lot of people.

Good first quarter for Drummond today. 8 and 6 with 2 blocks. May make up for yesterdays crapfest.

Defense has been sound in all 3 games.

FT% is still crap but better than the 0% from the first game and the 25% from the second game, 2-4.

EDIT:

Brandon Knight may eventually be a good PG, but he isn't right now. For all the people saying Kemba isn't a PG, Knight is even worse at all aspects.

Andre looks good and his defense is very good, weird thing is he missed a wide open dunk and the announcer said it's about the 5th dunk he's missed in the 3 games.

He is trying too hard to hurt the rim.

I hate Brandon Knight as a starting PG. No PG skills at all. The Pistons have had a horrible time of drafting short 2 guards and pretending they are PGs.

Totally agree on Knight, he has no point guard skills and often jumps in the air with nowhere to go with it.

One of the worst things I saw in the NBA finals were Wade and LeBron doing that over and over. They just happen to be in the top .1% to be able to get away with it.

10-7-1 in the third against the Celtics team. Sullinger with 4-1 and Fab Melo with 0-3
