Lol, Durant is going to the Nets. Kyrie and Durant are about to be hated in their own city. Knicks probably dodged a bullet here.

The Knicks are going to be dysfunctional while watching their "little brother" contend for 3 years (after kd gets back). This is a dark day for the Knicks

Bucks keep Lopez for $52 million over 4 years. I thought $15-18 million/year was where he would end up. Bucks having a good postseason so far. Brogdon will be expensive.

The Knicks dodged a bullet by not signing Kyrie and KD? Are you joking?

The Knicks just stood up tall and took about 3 bullets right to the nuts.

How many players have come back 100% from an Achilles? Hint: there has been only one... Dominique Wilkins

This Nets era is far from a sure thing. Between Kyrie's cancerish self and KD's injury, nothing is guaranteed. DeAndre Jordan is whatever, the guy is washed up. Not sure he's that much better than Jarrett Allen at this point. DAL was happy to get rid of him and was blah for the Knicks last season.

Kyrie has his own knee issues. KD is missing his age 31 season, his age 32 season will be a rusty comeback season (like Hayward or Cousins or whoever); it won't really be until Year 3 of this (2021-22) where they might be at full strength, assuming KD--at age 33--becomes the player he was pre-injury.

There's obviously plenty of reason for optimism but this has one of those fool's gold "super teams" written all over it.

It is going to cost the Nets $65 million just to find out if Durant will be the second player in history to make a complete recovery from and Achilles injury.

It doesn't look good that Knicks can't get free agent stars but even a healthy Durant is a bit of a gamble with the NY media. Waiting over a year for a 32 year old Durant on a repaired achilles makes this feel like way less of a miss. This is such a Durant type decision.

The only way the Knicks "win" or even tie this off season is if the league takes the team away from Dolan.

BK was clearly much further along than the Knicks during their rebuild. I don't think this was knock on the Knicks as an organization, it's more of a timing thing. BK has solid role players at age 25-28 in guys like Dinwiddie and LeVert and Joe Harris; those important supporting pieces if you want to make a deep playoff run.

The Knicks don't have anything like that. Their entire core (Robinson, Knox, Barrett, Ntilikina, DSJ) is 21 or younger. Their guys are still so young and have a ton of development to do. Even if KD/Kyrie went there, you'd have to trade all of those pieces for vet role players if you wanted to contend. Hell, that Knicks team next year with Kyrie but without KD while he recovered wouldn't have had a prayer at the playoffs.

The Knicks just have to continue to do things the right way. They've been fine since Perry took over. Develop the young kids, take on bad contracts this summer (dollar amount, not years) in exchange for picks, and keep on building.

How can the Knick fans spin zone this into anything but a fail? They tanked for Zion, Traded Kristaps for 2 max spots and got nobody. The Nets just added the two guys that were pegged as Knicks for years to a playoff team. Even without Kyrie and KD the Nets have a better roster/future than the Knicks. Yikes, fold the team or move them to Seattle.

So what’s the deal with Bazz now? Is he still going to be a net?

Bucks sign Middleton for 5 years at $35mm/year. That contract is Batum-ness in it's insanity.

Rudy Gay's agent earns his fee getting Rudy 2 years at $16/year. He is probably more like an $8/year guy at this point in his career. Good for Rudy.

There is no way he’s even a max contract guy in my opinion.

Kyrie will not improve the nets imo. Dude is extremely overrated and thinks way more of himself than he should. It's kd that hurts the Knicks. If he is 80 percent of what he was that's a huge swing and miss. That and the Knicks letting kp go for cap space when they end up not using that cap space on anyone of significance. The management has let the fans down once again. Nothing new for us Knicks fans though. More of what we are use to. Hopefully we don't compound the bad decisions by going out and overpaying for someone that will hold our cap space hostage for years.

True, but the surgeries are so far advanced compared to Dominique Wilkins era and they probably improve yearly. This is a world class athlete with probably a Tony Stark level surgical team. I’m sure the league and the Nets are reviewing the situation. I just saw Dez Bryant running around catching passes after only seven months.

Woj annoys me. Let the guy announce on his own terms. His niche is a complete joke. Breaking stories 5 minutes before they become public. Thanks for the service. One of these days a player is going to renege after the organization leaks his intentions.

That's their career now, they have to make money.
