But with these, Bazz becomes a combo guard at 6'4"!

Last I checked they don't play barefoot...

The point of listing a player's height/weight is so you know how big they are compared to the other players. It's pointless to inflate the numbers across the board. Just go with what people consider to be someone's height: the length from your feet to the top of your head while standing with your feet flat on the ground and your back straight.

Shabazz Napier
Height without shoes: 5'11"
Height with shoes: NA
Weight: 175
Wingspan: 6' 3.25"
Reach: 7' 9"
Body fat: 7.4
Hand Length: 8.25
Hand Width: 8.50
Bummer, 5'11" is going to hurt his stock.
The wingspan seems positive to compensate (some people are square = same height and wingspan width) but the "Reach" strikes me as negative. How do they measure "Reach"? I assume its standing flat as I'm about the same height as Bazz and often judge 8' ceilings as just within my reach (tiptoes).

In fact Draft Express has averages (I assume comprised of all NBA draft prospects, meaning basketball players but not necessarily NBA players) by height.
For 5'11"
average reach 7' 9.7" (so Bazz below average)
average wingspan 6' 2.7" (Bazz above average)
average weight 169
no other categories

Standard Hilton Units calculations are being made, they take time.
Uh those would be Hilton Armstrong Units and they are as follows:

Shabazz Napier
Height without shoes: 5'11" (0.855 HAU)

DeAndre Daniels
Height without shoes: 6' 7.25" (0.955 HAU)
Height with shoes: 6' 8.5" (0.970 HAU)

I don't think anyone should be surprised at the height, Kemba measured 5'11.5" at the combine and we had a whole year of them on the court together to know that Bazz & Kemba stood basically eye to eye. Kinda surprised Bazz didn't participate in the combine drills, as someone who has been listed as a borderline first round guy you usually expect those types to participate but either way he will be in the team workouts and scouts will have another chance to see how he does going up against bigger and longer guys besides what they've already seen on game film and in person.

Surprise doesn't matter, I'm just saying anything that doesn't start with a 6 is a negative or a red flag of sorts.

And since he was about same size but turns out to be half an inch shorter than Kemba it wasn't crazy to hope 3yrs later he was half an inch taller.

Here starts the disconnect that you usually have with these sort of convos...

Bazz's height doesn't move the needle either way because it was expected for him to measure out like this, anyone with eyes can see that he was 6'0-6"1" with sneakers, today's measurement doesn't change anything.

My disagreement or disconnect as you twist it is with respect to when players should turn pro. Bazz is a senior. Bazz is projected at end of first round early 2nd. I think 5'11" measurement makes it a tad more likely that he is selected later in the draft. You think shorter is better?

Napier has a good agent so his decision to not workout doesn't offset me. What's interesting is he's met with two teams (nets, warriors) who don't even have draft picks , both situations would be ideal with available back up minutes immediately .

Both the NBA and NCAA typically list height in shoes as the players' height. ESPN's height listing for draft prospects are also supposed to do that. However, for every other school's players they did but they short-chagned Bazz and DD (said DD was only 6'7"). DD's official height is consistent with what we saw in games (taller than Randall of KY, Finney-Smith at Florida etc.) and his wingspan and reach numbers are very good.
I was expecting Bazz to dead on with Kemba (5'11.5" barefoot, 6'1" in shoes)...I guess we will have to see what the "in shoes" measurement will be. But, this likely means he is taller than Paddy Mills. Isaiah Canaan and D.J. Augustin (all listed at 6'0" even in shoes) and clearly taller than Isaiah Thomas, Shane Larkin and Nate Robinson. Bazz also has a very solid wingspan and reach for his height.

My info is that NBA uses height with sneak about 1.5 inches.
