Brimah is not considered a top 60 draft prospect or even top 100 by anyone.

It'll be interesting what we see next. Obviously they should read this as they shouldn't expect to be drafted so what next.

Not surprised with the omission of RP on that list but definitely thought we see AB on it just based on his blocking skills. Oh well I guess we might at least see AB back. RP might just go the Europe route.

After looking at the alternates - doesn't look good for either, unfortunately for both AB and RP
 
No Purvis or Brimah. Think they can still schedule workouts with any interested NBA teams

Yea they can, it was pretty funny reading Rothstein tweet the other day that all early entrants who weren't invited to the combine should immediately withraw their name and return to college. Dude must protect the interest of college coaches at all times.

There were reports of 70 names invited and that list had 64 + 13 alternates. I assumed there were 6 more invites floating out there unaccounted for.

Official list has 63 going including the alternates that chose to participate. Goodman's list had them all.

Opted out: Simmons, Sabonis, Dejuontae Murray
Alternates in: Blossomgame, M Lee
 
He has a point if kids want to play immediately in the NBA. But some kids just want to play somewhere as a job.

Brimah averaged 6.5 and 4.6. He lacks strength and he might have the lowest basketball IQ of anyone to ever play. He can play professionally somewhere and maybe that's what he's thinking. Same with Purvis.

Sophomore stats at Connecticut: 12.5 points, 8.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.

How can he help himself? Watching Hamilton at UConn, he was one of the most versatile players in college basketball. He is a big-time rebounder and he is a terrific passer with good scoring instincts. Unfortunately, he isn’t a particularly great athlete and he’s been a poor (around 38 percent overall in two seasons) shooter. If Hamilton can test better than expected athletically or show his jumper to be less of a concern he may work his way into the mix.

I dont project him getting drafted... always pictured him as possibly a Livingston type pseudo pg, thats the only way i see it working. he's really good when he can ramp up the usage and control all tempo, but his efficiency is lacking and frankly anybody he guards turns into a lotto pick. Not good at contesting shots or help defense (defense in the nba is more about what you offer as far as help, not so much individually, and he's not good at either) , think about how good lamb was at flashing defensive potential @ uconn ... He couldn't see the floor in the playoffs because of his man defense.

having said that , this was the best time for him to take the chance because there are so many question marks about his game. might squeak by

No doubt about that 1. That does appear to be his intent. :(

Some of these guys are still better off leaving college.

I think Maurice "Mo" Watson Jr. probably made the right choice. Watson Jr. will be 24 during next years NCAA Tournament. Granted he will be returning and getting his degree (although he may have it already this spring) but you could even make a reasonable case for him bolting to make a paycheck outside of the NBA (which will most likely be his fate after next year). Instead now you arguably have 1 of the best back courts in all of college basketball with the Watson Jr,/Marcus Foster duo at Creighton. Foster in his Freshman year put up big numbers against Wiggins and Smart at Kansas State. Anyone sleeping on that back court next year is nuts. IMO

DHam officially measured in at 6'6.25" w/o shoes, 6'8" with shoes, 6'9" wingspan, 8'7.5" standing reach, 197lbs.

measurements from a Nike camp have been up for a couple of years and he had posted a 6'8" wingspan back then.
 
Katz reporting on the combine. One of the 3 storylines to watch for was if Dham can work his way into the first round. The fact that it's even being discussed as a possibility bodes well for Dham. Hope he plays well at the combine and succeeds in workouts. Wish him nothing but the best
