Wow. So they are actually going to come despite all the current defections.

Now who would that make dead on wrong again?

Okay, honest question.

What's the difference between this and what Boise was asking for?

This is transitional. It is allowing Navy to honor already existing contracts.

Boise had traditionally sold its rights through its conference, and just wanted a better deal.

Big East is willing to cut TV rights deal w/ Navy, but not Boise State. Kind of like MW w/ BSU/BYU. Whatever it takes cbsprt.co/14a9vAJ

That being said, old Big East deal with Navy doesn't sound as sweeping as what Boise State was looking for.

Yes, Navy had those deals in place before joining Big East. Yes, Navy is Navy. History, tradition. Just funny how leagues bend when needed.

I'm still not convinced we ever see Navy play a game under Conference TBA and there might have been similar thinking that it's not worth the battle.

Pretty much everyone on the board, probably including you if anyone bothered to check your old posts on the matter.

This also means the contract is only cut 11 ways, not 12.

MWC/BSU/CBS/ESPN deal... talk about confusing.

CBS Sports Net gets to pick first 8 MW football games, then alternates with ESPN. Both get 22 football games. CBS can't take BSU home games.

NBC take: http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/03/20/espn-mwc-agree-to-tv-deal-as-well/

"As the Idaho Statesman points out, Boise is in line to make, at minimum, nearly $1 million off this new agreement. The deal is still expected to come out less than what Big East football members will make on a yearly basis, but as noted above, Boise State will be getting a nice deal out of it."

I just don't like hearing "I told you so" from someone who never told me so.

Read my post. I never said "I told you so." I just said you were dead wrong. Your inability to simply say "yup, just was wrong on that one" is a clear sign you need help.
