Skimming the treetops:

#1 Bolingbrook [3-0]...Morgan
#6 Nazareth [NYC]. They won a game 82-63...reasonably competitive for a top 10 team.
Transfer from Mercy in Ct. [Sadie Edwards] had 19 to lead them. It will be interesting to follow her recruiting...I think she is a junior. The high profileness of Nazareth may get her some attention. I saw her play for a few minutes on her AAU team this past summer and...strictly Dixville Notch impressions....she looked like a nice player....good athleticism/good skills....a guard.

#14 Cicero [1-0]....Breanna

#20 St. Mary's [Phoenix]. I think CTK opens the Nike event with them....wonder how Sierra Calhoun will do.

Note neither CTK nor Bergtraum are in the top 10 in the eastern region.

I think the TOC will likely reshuffle the team rankings. Some player or players may leave Phoenix as legends, in the vein of Tina, Maya, and Elena.

It is a down time this year in Southern California as two powerhouse schools from recent years, Brea-Olinda HS and Long Beach Poly HS are both playing at Nike TOC, but not in the top division(Smith Division) but rather the Anderson Division.
