We won that year based on having 3 things

A. An incredible lead guard who provided great offensive play--Walker

B. A multitude of long athletic defenders at every position. Everyone was asked to play-our bench was deep--but the bench was more based on defense than offense

C. A second wheel in the offense was brought along and came toi emergence at the right time--Lamb

From what I have seen so far--we have played feisty in every game. We could be 8-0 right now or 4-4--so 6-2 is about right. We have played good perimeter defense but weve been handled inside at times. Im wondering if we should go 5-4 Wolf and Nolan-not only to provide length but to build directly for next year. We have athletes--were just not deep. Lets go back to playing the traditional 5-4 and let the best player in at 3 with Napier and Boat 1-2. Lets use longer athletes One last caveat about Napier--he really looks like his intensity goes up and down too much. Also while being a solid shooter he tends to kick his leg out on his jumpshot--he needs to rectify this hitch.

The First Name A.K. Inclusion Rule:
A. A UConn team must have a player who has the letters 'A' and 'K' in their first name in order to win a National Championship.
B. Any player with the letters 'A' and 'K' will win a National Championship at UConn during their career.
See: Kemba, Emeka, Khalid, Jake, Taliek

Karl Hobbs Exception: Any player who has the letters 'A' and 'K' in their first name prior to the Jim Calhoun era is exempt from the First Name A.K. Inclusion Rule.
See: Mark Benson, Jake Robinson, etc.

In this vein, I suggest Kevin Ollie recruit Dakari Johnson to go along with Kentan Facey, leading to a National Championship.
