Someone posted he was shaken up in the first half, that might be why they tried using Newsome.

No. He's #1 for short yardage plays and goal line runs.

They run different play packages for him than they do Mensah and Newsome.

He's looked hurt for a couple of weeks. IMO he is banged up but trying to play. Needs time.
