Is there one out there? I would love to see a bit of her on the court. The comments from
knowledgable folks down there have my expectations about 3 levels beyond reasonable.

I looked her up on YouTube. There are quite a few games or highlights rather, out there of Georgetown. However, they are actually highlights from other teams, Marquette, Richmond, Creighton, DePaul....sooooo...they actually only show the good stuff their team did. So if you want to view Butler and Georgetown getting beat to the hoop, not getting rebounds, and leaving 3 pt shooters open, then have a look. I just did "Georgetown women's basketball" in the search.

Again, doesn't show any of the good stuff of Butler (or Georgetown), but you can see she can get up and down the floor pretty good for a 6-5 player. Like most 6-5 players though, she needs some work on her lateral movement, defensively.

Couldn't find anything from a Georgetown perspective. :(

I found the same as Meyers, plus a few other things:

News items on the coaching situation at G'town.

Player intros at Midnight Madness.

Also, there is/was a hoopster at UC Irvine with the same name.

Natalie seems to move well, though she is late reacting defensively a couple of times. The clips show no rebounds or shots.

She will have next year to improve her conditioning and get experience against Kia, Stewie, and Morgan. We will not see her in games for 18 months. However, if she were playing next fall, I would realistically expect to see the following:

A tall kid who looks a bit like Stefanie and plays something like Stef did her first year and maybe her sophomore year. Natalie is not skinny, but may have a smaller frame than Stef. She is trimmer than Stef was and possibly trimmer than Stef is today. Natalie probably needs to get stronger, and I'm sure she will. She will run the court better than Stef did at the beginning of her freshman year. She probably will rebound better than Stef did, especially early in her career. She may not have the nifty offensive moves that Stef had even early on. Natalie may never be the passer that Stef is, because few are. Based on her G'town stats plus a year of practice, I'd expect about 70% FT shooting.

In short, Natalie fills a pressing need and should give us a capable post presence. Her strengths likely will be her work habits, intelligence, and rebounding. Like Stef, she seems to have a considerable upside. How high that is remains to be seen, but determination on her part and UConn coaching could make it rather high.

I'm sure Geno checked her out pretty thoroughly with his buds Harry and Doug... and perhaps others.

She's 6-5 and you can't teach height, but Geno and his staff can teach the UConn Way.

I bet he did too. Whether Doug and Harry gave him straight answers is something else altogether.

1. As a HS senior, she averaged a triple double.
2. She used to come in and run steps in the gym before practice.
3. She had 18 double-doubles at GT.
4. She loves basketball.
5. Her HS coach is convinced that she belongs at UConn.
6. She is 6' 5"
7. Eyewitnesses have testified that she is fast and has very good footwork.
8. She did not make a snap decision to come to UConn, but thought it over very carefully.
9. No one who has seen her play seems to be anything but optimistic (or super-optimistic) about her career at UConn,
10. She will have an entire year to learn the system before actually stepping onto the court.

I rest my case for optimism.
