As Pheesa starts her final UConn season, her career stats already put her in rare company. A typical Collier year would place her in the top 10 in several of UConn's most important statistical categories. Consider: 1. Points - Napheesa sits #20 all-time at Uconn with 1,609 points. In the previous 2 seasons, she averaged 675 pts. Reduce that to just 600 points and Collier still finishes 4th or 5th in career scoring. (KLS is at 1,712 and will no doubt move up as well.) Kaleena is currently 4th, 569 points ahead of Pheesa. (Maya, Stewie and Tina are 1,2 3.) 2. Blocked shots - Despite being an undersized forward, Napheesa is currently #8 all-time at UConn with 187 blocked shots. Over the last two years, she had 63 and 77 blocks. With just 17 blocks, Pheesa passes Maya into 7th place. With 67, she leaps Stef Dolson into 6th place. That would leave just Tina, Kiah, Kara, Rebecca and Stewie ahead of her all-time. 3. Steals - Collier has 174 career steals. It would take 61 to replace Bria Hartley in the top 15 all-time and 66 to get to the 14th spot. Her last two seasons, Pheesa had 60 and 64 steals, so both are within reach. 4. Rebounds - Napheesa is currently #16 all-time in rebounds for the Huskies with 808. Svetlana is #15 with 814. Even with an average season of boards, Pheesa could reach 5th or 6th all-time. Jamelle is 246 away in 6th place and Dolson is 293 away in 5th. While Pheesa had 275 rebounds last year, she had 336 junior year without Z to help. Dolson is in reach... 5. Assists - Pheesa's career assist total is 239. Candidly, that is not near the top of UConn's career leaders. Her three-year totals, however, progressed from 34 to 83 to 122. For a player who does everything else, these are good numbers. Even on a team with Katie Lou and Gabby, Pheesa led the Huskies in scoring and rebounds each of the last two seasons. She is the quiet warrior who brings her A game almost every night. Silently, she has reached the top of many UConn all-time stat lists and, in time, will join previous legends on gym wall. Well deserved..!! Go #24..!! P.S. - This is my 900th post. Thanks for reading. :) P.S.S. - Napheesa's record during her 3 years is 110-2.
