After the stunning success of the Tuck series, the Developers were eager to build a new model using much of the knowledge gained. Napheesa 1.0 took some time in the development and testing phases but I think you will agree, the wait has been worth it! The Developers were still concerned with perfecting Tuck 4.0 and her cohorts when Napheesa 1.0 came to them. However this was also useful in aiding development and allowing a gradual transformation for Napheesa 1.0. The improvement in Napheesa 1.0 was evident by the end of the basketball season. Time after the season also allowed for some physical fixes that had been hampering athletic performance.

Napheesa 2.0 has been optimized and is now producing elite-level performance. Like Tuck 4.0, she shows amazing footwork and positioning around the basket, allowing her to sink “easy” shots. Other similarities are in the basketball IQ, work ethic, and the consistent, unflappable temperament. Work on longer-range shots for Napheesa 2.0 continues in development. Napheesa 2.0 provides increased athletic ability and speed over Tuck 4.0 but maintains her great hands. There have been rumors that the developers have installed some advanced ball-tracking device due to her incredible ability to track down rebounds and loose balls. The developers declined comment on this.

Please enjoy Napheesa 2.0! The Developers are pleased that their work with her has been so successful. They continue to tinker with the model and expect Napheesa 3.0 to exceed this year’s model. With several new models coming in and two that have been in development ready to play next year, the Developers and players have been working hard but expect more success!

Very happy with Pheese 2.0.
Looking forward to Pheese 2.1 against SC Baylor and maybe MD, when she was not quite so developed yet.

This is an astute analysis of product strategy, and I agree with almost every point that you made.

However, I would note that one other area where the new model does not quite equal her retired predecessor is in upper body strength. The Tuck never got pushed off the road by other aggressive vehicles in the lane; the current Pheesa version sometimes does. And the Pheesa will not move anyone else off the block, as the old Tuck used to do. Both the Tuck and the Pheesa are very adept at finding empty parking spaces near seemingly crowded destinations.

But the Tuck had continual issues with its struts. The new Pheesa shows no evidence of that problem.
