No surprises... Ogwumike, Diggins, EDD and Griner

Diggins is a bit of a surprise to me. IMO Sims is as good.

Diggins is a non-factor, likely to come in 4th

I was thinking along the same lines. Diggins has two other great teammates who can help carry the load if she slips. While Maya had Renee and Tina during her sophomore year, she had a better ability to take over games and be a true presence and factor on the court. Same thing with Tina her senior year. If Diggins can put up these kind of numbers or better next year, I can see her being a true contender. Still don't think she can win because there's the tall order of outplaying Griner, but she can truly compete for the award.

I think we are in agreement. Diggins is 4th on that list, perhaps a distant 4th, and about even with Sims.

Some folks are focused on Britney and Elena only. Nneka is really, really good, has improved yet more this year, and has really carried her team.

Elena has by far the least help from teammates, but also the weakest opponents. It seems obvious to pick Griner, but I think Baylor would have 2-3 losses if Sims had not bailed them out.

My picks:

Britney 1a

Nneka 1b

Elena 2

Skylar 4

BG, NO, SD EDD ... but I would not be surprised to see BG, SD, NO and EDD. Had EDD come to UC, it could be a whole different story, but I think the Delaware thing is too hard to overcome in this evaluation.

My votes:

1. Griner
2. Nneka
3. EDD

Diggins deserves as many votes as Sims does.
