To be honest, after seeing them come back to beat Notre Dame, I thought we might well lose this game. If not for an epic performance by Paige we would have.

N.C. State's losses were to South Carolina, Georgia, Notre Dame, and UConn.

The teams they beat include: Florida, Kansas State 2x, Maryland, Washington State, Indiana, North Carolina 2x, Miami 2x, Duke 2x, Louisville, Virginia Tech 3x, Florida State 2x, Georgia Tech, and Notre Dame. That's a heck of a resume.

They also have three fifth year seniors. That extra year has had a huge impact on the tournament and will continue to have for another three years. Any player who doesn’t have WNBA pedigree will stay; even some with that resume. Joens was projected to be an early first round pick and she is staying.

NC State deserves all the praise they receive. The players, the coaches showed great fight and character.
