Agree. She was the tone setter and made play after play, some of which show up on stat sheets and some that don't.

Have to agree Kelly is the POG for UConn fans. Understand why the media gave it to Bria.

Unexpected explosion of points for Kelly, plus everything else she brings to the table.

Faris is the glue of the team and today she was fantastic! The POG!

Sure, but Dolson was awesome...for comparison, make no Bone about it.

Ozz has got it...Hand Bones Down ... Dolson did so many little things, just like Kelly... both big time heroines and examples to the children.

And KML ended up with 12-11. All around just a solid effort by all concerned. Which is what this UConn team needs to win.
I can't believe that was her first double-double.

And yes, Kelly was my POG as well. But lots of the girls had great games...Bria, Steff, Tiff, Kiah...

I agree Kelly was POG, not for her usual steady and solid defensive effort, but because her offensive outburst was unexpected at this point. This is absolutely what is needed now in the tournament. The players who are usually quiet offensively having a strong scoring game will make other teams think twice about not guarding them too closely.

I am all for confusion, but I think the remaining teams are going to prepare for their next game not on who looked different on the opponent's team in their last game in the NCAAs. What bugged me all game today was all the second guessing by our players on the offense. I know we are not on ground lever...still, I felt our guys did way to much double thinking on the offense.

Stef had only 4 rebounds. KML's 11 RB were a big factor in the game.

Did that have something to do with the PSU bombing from outside and the big kick out? I just wasn't watching that aspect of the game.

Almost two years into her UConn career and Stef still can't jump.

She's not a jumper, face it. But she's very effective and continually learning her role.

I thought it was Kelly and didn't think it was particularly close. The announcers seemed to be swayed by Geno's telling them that Bria is UConn's best player. Which I found a bit surprising, but in any case I thought Faris was clearly the best player today. A lot of little things plus 7 for 10 for 15 points.

Do you realize why Kelly and KML had all those rebounds yesterday? It was in part because of the job Stef was doing and had little to do with jumping or not jumping. Plus the reason Stef often doesn't draw fouls on interior D is because she stands tall and refuses to leave her feet. Don't expect her to jump, she isn't going to do that in part because her jumping is limited and in part because she makes important contributions because of not jumping.
