This year, and more so in the newer competitive landscape of wbb, dominant wins aren’t as dominant. And recently, we don’t have more than 2 players on the bench. It’s just not possible to get players the added rest.

Yes, ines and Amari could each get 10 minutes in non close games, but that really only spells our starters around 4 minutes.

The injuries really killed the transition vibe our season opened with, has skewed the rotations, and has altered team chemistry. Until we are healthy, it’s a survive and advance mentality this season.

It’s absurd that we’ve been decimated with injury but remain a competitive top 5 team. Very few, if any, programs would be able to do that. Look at Baylor, who just dropped from the polls for the first time in nearly 20 years.

Sometimes, when it’s not always going our way, some perspective on the greatness of this program is illuminating.
