the problem is if those 2 combine and stand together, it will make it hard for them not to gain the bcs tagwhile the BE dies. that conf has some good #'s from bosie and other teams during certain years and some good mk's/recruiting states...

I find it funny that half the time people worry about the Big East losing it's BCS bid (which is a long shot in my opinion).
Then the other half of the time, people worry about some godawful C-USA/MTNW hybrid conference will gain a BCS bid.
If the Big5 conferences are going to strip the Big East of it's bid, do you really think they are going to be giving it away to C-USA/MTNW as opposed to keeping it for themselves?
Edit: I feel like this is C-USA and MTNW realizing their best schools are about to be poached by the Big East.
