MWC considering two 'best' teams in championship game

Would probably hurt them more often than it helps them. Almost no way to get into a 4 team playoff and just hurts the chances of their best team getting the G5 bid.

Other than it being self-destructive kudos to them.

They will subjectively select the two best teams. So they could pick the #1 and #3 teams in the standings, passing over #2.

What could go wrong?

Think the AAC should do something to boost their top teams. Maybe have the final game of the season become a playoff between 1 and 2.. Maybe cross divisions. Get a little attention, winner gets a boost, and increases the likelihood of top teams playing each year, even when they don't play a regular season game...
