I've heard Towson is a joke. I've heard they are actually pretty damn good. Doesnt matter. Who is going to come out 1st game of the year and have themselves a career game?

My pick ---> Offense: Geremy Davis or Chad Christen
Defense: Graham Stewart or Jesse Joseph(injured?)

Think you nailed it on the D, a DE or OLB! Who knows on the O.

FYI - Freshmen Junior Joseph tweaked L knee this morning - not Jesse Joseph.

Hoping our OL will be able to dominate the line of scrimmage. If that is the case mccombs runs away with player of the game.

GDL is hands down MVP for not calling one single play.

Won't believe he's not involved until I see it with my own eyes - no headset and far away from shane day

Towson was a solid team last year although they got spanked pretty good in their opener against Kent State. Gave LSU a decent game, though I wouldn't say they were ever a threat to win it, but I'm not sure how much was LSU just going through the motions and how much was Towson. this is a game we should win and in Pasquoloni's defense we have tended to handle this type of team fairly well so far. He tends to take his foot off the gas a little early for my taste, but he's really old school in that regard. for MVP I think it goes to McCombs. 120 yards, 3tds on 25 carries

Towson is a decent FCS team. Pitt lost to Youngstown St just last year and everyone remembers Appalachian St taking down Michigan. I think we'll win by a few scores but it won't be a breeze (like umASS LOL)

Offensive MVP: Geremy Davis
Defensive MVP: Smallwood

McCombs DeLornzo combine for 165 yds rushing. Oline has found its way and we are off to a good start winning 3 in a row.

Gotta say the offensive line and then Smallwood. But everything I have heard points to Graham Stewart being a beast.

Towson has been a top 20 1A program the last two years. I hope our players remember some of the recent 1A upsets because it won't be a walk in the park. It seems like every year there's 5-6 1A wins, and while most of them are usually against ACC teams, our new conference initials might confuse them. For our MVP I'm going with Yawin, since I think we'll win scoring only a few times, but holding Towson to negative total yardage.

It will be McCombs and Delorenzo. I don't think the coaching staff opens up the playbook and airs it out in this game unless we find ourselves behind or only slightly ahead at halftime. The coaching staff will play it safe and conservative so we don't give anything away for Maryland and Michigan. Look for a ton of run plays to try and wear down our opponent with our superior size and athleticism.
