- Nearly a minute & a half before the first score. A three from Demary. We never relinquished the lead.
- That first bucket would turn out to be more than half Demary's scoring total for the game. His other 2 points came with from the FT line with about 3 minutes left in the game. He ran the team well, but Malachi actually ended up with more minutes at the point.
- Started out OK. Our scorers are scoring, and theirs aren't.
- 6 minutes in, Mullins proves he's not just a designated shooter when he steals the ball and feeds Solo for a slam on the run.
- When we went up 30 to 6 at 12:46, and I briefly had thoughts of the 30 point run on Illinois in the '24 Semifinals.
- Is it me, or has Karaban been a very different player the last 4 or so games?
- Our hot shooting deserted us with about 9 to go in the half, but we still maintained a 16 to 20 point lead for most of the half.
- Lead down to 15 at the break.
- Halftime notes: 15 buckets off 14 dimes at the half. That's the nicest half time stat of the season. Ball, Reed and Karaban were a combined 11 of 20 from the floor.
- Between some 'Huh?!?" foul calls and some loose defense, it felt like we were letting them back in the game early in the 2nd half.
- Mullins had a very impressive game. Ended up 6 of 11 from the field, including 5 of 10 from 3, along with 6 boards, 4 dimes, 2 steals and only 1 foul.
- Stewart played very well in limited minutes. He ended up with 8 points, a steal, a dime and 4 boards (3 offensive) in 18 minutes.
- Is anyone else concerned with how easily Xavier drove into the paint in the 2nd half? Luckily, they couldn't make very many short shots once they got inside.
- Ended up with 33 buckets on 26 dimes and a 42 - 26 advantage on the boards.
- Our shooting percentages for the game were 53,46 & 79. The Mouseketeers went for 43, 22 & 68
