Munir Saleh leaves UConn early to go pro

UConn men's soccer midfielder Munir Saleh is leaving UConn early to play pro soccer. Saleh had one year of eligibility remaining with the Huskies.

good for him, very skilled and talented player. Talked to him after the season last fall and he was desperate to get out of Ried's program as fast as possible. Even though he was a starter for 3 years Munir and Reid were constantly butting heads and Munir felt Ried was stunting his growth similar with past players. I support this move but this is a big blow to the midfield to an already changing roster
