This year there are the big 6 + the A10 & Mo Valley. Will this consolidate to just 5 in the future?
That'll surely pass 30 next year, and possibly approach 33 or 34 in the following years.
- The Missouri Valley loses Creighton, and only got two b/c Creighton lost in the tourney.
- The A-10 goes back to 12 teams with departures of Temple, Charlotte, Butler, and Xavier. The NCAA entrants this year are non-departing members, but conference will be weaker.
- The BigEast takes a big quality hit with losses of UConn, ND, Lou, RU, but will probably be able to get 2-3 teams in tourney.
- America 12. Hopefully someone (USF, SMU, Houston?) can step up and be a competitive team so the conference is not quite a wasteland.
