Mullins' middies...

Mullins is as close to Rip Hamilton as we have seen for some time, a pure scorer from anywhere on the court, and their games are more alike than different. Hawkins had some of this going on too. Really looking forward to watching Mullins open up and elevate his game. In just the few games he has played he has already shot the ball on numerous occasions with such athleticism and natural skill that I am reminded of the beauty and physical grace that can be found in the game of basketball.

The more offenses have centered around 3's, the more defenses have evolved to stop it. I would rather see an uncontested 2 pt jump shot by a good shooter rather than a contested 3 no matter what the analytics may say.

Rip never got tired, he could run forever. It was beautiful.

Whole thread talking about the beauty and effectiveness of midranges.

We’ve come so far.

How many has Solo taken in that range, and at what %. To my eye he has been great there.

Surprised it's that low. I agree with AllHusky, seems like he's been almost perfect from there. He missed one against Texas and I said to myself, "Can't believe he missed that. He's been hitting all those."
Small sample sizes, but here's how he compares to the D1 avg in different spots

Thanks for this. Pretty interesting. So basically he should not shoot threes from the left side. Is the -10.2% and +6.3% layups? He's a lefty so you'd think he'd be better at the rim on the left side. What's the 0/0 at the rim? Dunks? He definitely had a dunk against Texas on a break away.
