I understand the game is less than 24 hours old. It's all very raw and fans aren't used to this. However, the simple truth is MSU won the game and deservedly so. They were the more aggressive team throughout the evening, they out-rebounded the Huskies (by a wide margin on the offensive glass), and kept fighting in OT when they could have folded up their tents. Many of the Husky turnovers were because of their defense. The tendency always is to lay blame on what went wrong instead of tipping your cap to the the other team. On March 31, 2017, the better team won.
All the returning players on the court last night know what that feeling is now. It's no longer a "sound bite" of we know we have to work hard. Individually and as a team, they know what their deficiencies are and what needs to be worked on to be National Champs next year. There will be several new pieces next year and they will have such a resolve that its almost scary to think about. I'm sure, after a few days, fans, players, and coaches, can't wait for fall 2017 to get here..
